The United States reopened travel to international visitors on 8 November 2021. All international citizens and non-immigrant travelers to the United States will be required to be fully vaccinated and to provide proof of vaccination status prior to entering the United States. Before boarding, air travelers are also required to show documentation of a negative COVID-19 viral test result taken within 24 hours of the flight’s departure to the United States. A citizen of a foreign country entering the United States generally must first obtain a visa; either a non-immigrant visa for temporary stay or an immigrant visa for permanent residence. Early application for a visa is strongly encouraged as the estimated wait time can change quickly.
A visa letter from AOM is not required to start the application process. A visa letter is available to print from your AOM profile page upon registration, which opens in early March. The visa allows a foreign citizen to travel to a United States port of entry, airport, or land border crossing and request permission of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to enter the U.S. The U.S. visa policy permits citizens of certain countries to enter the United States without a visa when they meet certain requirements. Obtain a Letter to Assist With Visa Application
The Academy can provide a Registration Letter to assist with your travel to the US to attend the 82nd Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management. To obtain a Registration Letter you must be registered to attend the AOM Annual Meeting (a valid AOM Membership is required to register). Requests without payment cannot be accommodated. A Program Participation letter is available only to individuals listed on the AOM Annual Meeting Program as a speaker or presenter. A Program Participation letter will be available once the online program has been completed (late May/early June 2022). Please visit your AOM Member Profile and click on the "Conferences" tab. Scroll down the Annual Meeting page and click on the "Registration Letter" or "Program Participation Letter" button. This will direct you to a page with your requested letter, where you have the option to print. You will only have access to a specific letter type if you meet the above criteria.
